Iris Van Herpen wins two Dutch Design Awards

Two prizes for well-known Dutch designer Iris van Herpen! Iris won in the Product-Best Fashion category with her ‘Voltage’ couture collection featuring 3-D printed garment. AND she took away the coveted main Golden Eye Award.

Van Herpen collaborated on the designs with architects Philip Beesley, Julia Koerner and sciences at the MIT Media Lab.
“With Voltage, Van Herpen gives the world a view into the future of fashion,” the jury commented.“It is impressive to see how she, at such a young age, succeeds in giving so much body to her work, without any loss of experiment and challenge. With her designs, she shows better than anybody else what is going on in the Netherlands at the moment,” the jury added in a statement.
